Triangle Grid Design with Denise’s Quilt from Quilted Joy

There are many quilts that are beautiful because of the complicated nature of the piecing.  Either with the diminutive size of the individual pieces or the angles that go into the placement of them, it doesn’t matter.  Creating a beautifully pieced quilt can be very rewarding.  But not all quilts are like that.  Some are gorgeous with a very simple piecing pattern, but with intricate placement of colors.  Denise’s quilt is one of these.  She has created a lot of drama and beauty with the selection and placement of triangle pieces of fabric.

A Neighborhood of Houses with Tracey’s Quilt from Quilted Joy

In August of 2020, I was able to show everyone watching the Quilted Joy Clubhouse how I would quilt Tracey’s House Quilt. She had this Neighborhood of Houses top which she made to be a raffle quilt for her guild. Guilds can be a great way to gather with others with the same interests and learn and grow together.  They can not only be fun, but you can find support and encouragement there as well. I cannot recommend them enough. So this house quilt just makes me think of all her guild members sitting in their homes helping each ...

How Would You Quilt It? Barbara’s Tula Pink All Stars Quilt from Quilted Joy

A while back, Barbara shared a picture of her Tula Pink Polka Dot quilt top in the Quilted Joy Clubhouse. Don’t you just love the bright colors and the polka dots and stripes. She also fussy cut the circle medallions so all those circles have a cute colorful animal from the Tula Pink All Stars line. There are raccoons, owls, frogs and squirrels. It’s a lovely top and Barbara did a wonderful job of piecing it together. But how to quilt it?
